Mary Ann Conroy - CEO
Mary Ann Conroy joined the Regional Hospital family as CEO on December 1. In addition to her extensive executive experience, Mary Ann has a strong clinical background, with undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing, and she has demonstrated a wonderful ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and staff, foster an environment of clinical excellence, and embrace a leadership role in the community.
Mary Ann comes to Regional Hospital from Englewood Community Hospital, a 100-bed HCA facility on Florida’s Gulf Coast, where she served as president and CEO. She has also held positions as COO of Community Hospital of New Port Richey, another HCA facility in Florida; VP of patient services and CNO of St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, Missouri; VP of operations and CNO of Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis; and assistant administrator and CNO of St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Dale Alward - COO
Dale joined Terre Haute Regional Hospital as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on November 1, 2009. He brings over 26 years of progressive management experience working in Acute Care Hospitals. Dale joins Regional from Henrico Doctors' Hospital, an HCA hospital in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as the Assistant Administrator and Administrator for Cardiovascular Services for more than two years. Prior to Henrico Doctors', Dale served in the Air Force Medical Service for more than 23 years as a healthcare administrator and Medical Service Corps officer. His extensive experience in healthcare operations and leadership coupled with his commitment to facilitate the mission, vision, and values of Regional Hospital serve to enhance healthcare provided for the Terre Haute community.
Dale holds a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, a Master of Public Administration from Troy State University in Troy, AL, and a Bachelor's of Science from Regents College in Albany, NY. He is a Board Certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dale has been involved in community activities throughout his career with organizations such as the American Heart Association, United Way, CrossOver Ministry, Air Force Association, and Military Officers Association of America.
Candice Carroll - CNO
Candice became Chief Nursing Officer at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in July, 2010.
Carroll began her nursing career with HCA in the emergency department at the 521-bed Lewis Gale Medical Center in Roanoke, VA, as a night staff registered nurse in 1997. In 1998, she developed and implemented the forensic nursing program at LGMC and served as the coordinator of the program. During Carroll’s time at LGMC she held the positions of Emergency Services Director, Critical Care Administrator, Interim CNO and Associate CNO.
Tim Prestridge - CFO
Tim joined Terre Haute Regional Hospital in July, 2010. Originally from Nashville, Tenn., Prestridge joins Regional Hospital most recently from Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Va., which is also an HCA hospital.
At Alleghany, Prestridge served from 2007 until present as the CFO and chief staffing officer with responsibilities over accounting, HIM, revenue integrity, case management, supply chain, IS and patient account services. Prior to serving at Alleghany, from 2002 to 2007, Prestridge served as the CFO and chief staffing officer at HCA’s Polk Medical Center in Cedartown, Ga. Tim has previous experience in various roles as assistant controller and accountant throughout the company.
Prestridge earned his bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University and his MBA from Shorter College. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has recently earned Fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
