Inpatient Rehabilitation

The staff of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, located on 5-West are dedicated to helping adults overcome the hurdles of recovery and return to their lives, work, family, active retirement and independent living. We are committed to providing the care necessary to meet your medical, physical, psychological, and social needs in an environment that promotes wellness, confidence and independence.

Inpatient rehabilitation offers the most intensive level of therapy offered within the community continuum of care. Patients are required to complete three hours of two therapies during five out of seven days each week. Inpatient rehabilitation greatly benefits patients who are experiencing:

• poor mobility, balance and coordination 
• limitations in self-care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, homemaking)
• weakness or limited motion in arms, legs or trunk
• chronic pain
• changes in memory, thought processing, reasoning and rational thinking
• speech and communication problems
• swallowing disorders
