The Mehta Behavioral Health Unit is a 16 bed acute care center providing treatment for adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. A comprehensive program of group, individual, family and activity therapy is provided to patients on a daily basis. Because our unit is located within a full-service hospital, you can be assured that your treatment program will provide for your medical as well as mental health needs. Twenty-four hour care and supervision is provided within a safe environment.

Mental Health Care

We may not think much about our “mental health” but it is an important element of all our lives. Today, protecting and strengthening our mental health couldn’t be more important as we all face challenges to our well-being from a variety of stressors in a fast-paced world. At times, we face additional threats from life crisis such as losing a loved one, job stress, or medical concerns. For many, maintaining mental health also means meeting the challenge of managing a serious illness such as depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Symptoms related to a serious illness or personal crisis may cause a disruption in our ability to manage our daily lives or possibly place us in danger. When this occurs, receiving proper behavioral health care is vital in the recovery process.
